The Girl on the Pier

What is life without the laughter?

For those who’ve read my book: “A Disney Childhood”

My son and I were theorizing about a different name of my book called, “The Girl on the Pier.”

“She waited and waited but sharks had surrounded the boat seconds after the ocean had lifted the floor boards below decks from the cracked wooden hull. The crew was quickly and viciously eaten by what was thought to be the only pod of white sharks in existence (having been in the area looking for a killer whale to attack).

And there she still sits.  On the pier waiting. Waiting for her family to reappear somehow, someway over the horizon and be safe and whole. But they don’t, they can’t.  The locals leave food next to her but all she needs are a few crumbs a day. And years pass while she waits on the pier.”
